Bi-Lingual Behavioral Health Care Manager I  

**must speak, write, and read English and Spanish** 

Overnight schedule:   Week 1: Tue –Fri 10pm-8:30am   Week 2: Mon.7:30pm-8am Sat/Sun 7pm-8am 

Location: (can live in any state)  Remote work from home 

Licensure Required:  RN, LCSW, LCMHC/LPC, LMHC, or LMFT to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure in the state of North Carolina.

Sign on bonus of $1,500 included.

Shift differential included.

This position manages a behavioral health crisis line to provide members with a service which is available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, every day of the year through a confidential, toll-free number. Behavioral health professionals help with any type of behavioral health distress the member may be experiencing and offers assistance in linking members to supportive available community resources. 

How you will make an impact: 

  • Uses appropriate screening criteria knowledge and clinical judgment to assess member needs to ensure access to medically necessary quality behavioral healthcare in a cost-effective setting in accordance with UM Clinical Guidelines and contract.  

  • Refers cases to Peer Reviewers as appropriate.  

  • Performs psychiatric and substance abuse or substance abuse disorder assessment coordination implementation case planning monitoring and evaluating to promote quality member outcomes to optimize member health benefits and to promote effective use of health benefits and community resources.  

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires MA/MS in social work, counseling or a related behavioral health field or a degree in nursing. 

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse or substance abuse disorder treatment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.  

  • Current active unrestricted license such as RN, LCSW, LCMHC/LPC, LMHC, or LMFT to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure in the state of North Carolina.

  • Must be licensed in North Carolina.

  • Bi-Lingual (speak, write and read English and Spanish)

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in utilization management reviews with a broad range of experience with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases preferred.  

  • Associates with strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in English & Spanish, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
