Location: preference is to have the incumbent located in CA, however, open to remote opportunity
Travel: Upon the start in this role travel may be up to 35%+ however, after 3+ months that will taper down

Position Overview:
The incumbent for this position will be responsible for leading and overseeing nursing staff and coordinating nursing operations across all modalities (clinic, virtual, mobile). In addition, you will provide clinical and administrative leadership, advising executive management on best nursing practices, planning, and executing new patient services, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding care. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Reports progress and performance related to nursing function to executive CareMore leadership

  • Partners with Chief Medical Officer to implement new treatment plans, tools, and technologies

  • Works with Clinical Practice leader to build staffing plans for nurses in support of clinical and operational objectives

  • Leads and guides nursing staff to achieve targeted patient outcomes

  • Oversees performance criteria for nursing staff, including hiring criteria

  • Builds and deploys nursing onboarding, specialized, and ongoing training and development

  • Creates and communicates new nursing policies and practices

  • Analyzes reporting and data to identify areas for continuous improvement in nursing and care

  • Builds a nursing council responsible for reviewing and revising policies, procedures, and standards of care; incorporates evidence-based research  findings into clinical practice; and consults on interdepartmental issues that impact patient care

  • Represents nursing staff internally and externally

  • Engages with national organizations

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports


  • Requires an MA/MS degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership position overseeing clinical and/or nursing staff and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare environment fulfilling specific nursing duties; or any combination of education and experience, which provides an equivalent background.

  • Current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) 

  • MA/MS in a healthcare-related field 

  • Experience with Workforce Planning/Staffing

  • Organizational Change Management

  • Experience within a clinic setting, utilizing telehealth, and virtual care

  • Progressive experience working with I-SNP, C-SNP, and General Election members

  • Proven experience with people management and leadership

  • Nurse Practitioner, FNP, or ACNP highly preferred
