Individual Medicare Sales/Account Management Executive II - Medicare Southern, CA,  Areas  

Location:   Eligible to work remotely with weekly local travel expectation of 50%-80% of the time. 

Elevance Health’s Government Business Group’s Medicare West Sales team  is looking for an  Individual Medicare Sales/Account Management Executive II  to join its team. This high-performing individual contributor will be responsible for partnering with all Commercial Account Management colleagues and/or their groups' Brokers/Consultants to retain current commercial members upon retirement through selling Individual Medicare MS and MA plans. This can include groups who do not offer a group retiree solution to some or all of their retirees. Typical group size is 50+ and are typically LG and Labor Accounts. Our ideal candidate has experience and knowledge of Medicare, commercial account management, broker relations, B2B sales, is client focused with a strong executive presence.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provides Individual Medicare expertise and guidance to Account Management teams and their Brokers/Consultants.

  • Partners with Commercial Account Management in an assigned territory for Large Group and Labor and Trust to convert existing commercial members, who are retiring, to an ANTHEM Individual Medicare MS or MA plan by enrolling clients/groups into Anthem's Move to Medicare Program.

  • Drives education and engagement with the group and their retirees/soon to be retirees to drive shopping and buying.

  • Educates and supports Account Management teams and their brokers/clients on Individual Medicare and how it benefits their groups and their members.

  • Prioritizes accounts and facilitates ongoing strategic discussions in local markets.

  • Influences customer retention strategies with commercial account executives in order to position Anthem Individual MS and MA.

Minimum Requirements: 

Requires a BA/BS business or related fields and a minimum of 5 years of combined product, sales and account management experience with knowledge and experience in the group retiree market and/or Individual Medicare products, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license required by day 60 of employment. 

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: 

  • Experience and knowledge in healthcare & Medicare industry is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in building strong internal and external relationships that include Medicare internal large group team, consultants, brokers and key stakeholders.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties. 

  • Experience in project execution, and project management.

  • Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products, most notably Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Word.
