Elevance's Diversified Business Group (DBG) is seeking a new senior leader to lead the organization’s growth and business development efforts by driving and capturing new business for its AIM and myNEXUS business lines as well as build out a commercialization and go to market strategy for its Payment Integrity solution.  The Staff VP plays a critical role in developing strategic growth plans with existing customers, establishing strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and driving new sales to achieve our DBG growth targets. The successful candidate will combine a career’s worth of proven networking and understanding of the broad healthcare market with a drive to execute winning strategies to deliver integrated solutions to our key customers as well as winning new logos in support of long-term growth plans. The Staff VP will also play a critical role in the development of a growth and go to market strategy for newly launched programs and solutions supporting Payment integrity.

Primary Duties May Include, but are not limited to:

  • Create strategic and tactical growth plans to identify, target, and secure new business and achieve AAS’ goals. Will be measured on growth wins and business development strategy

  • Coordinate across AAS to lead sales expansion activities and manage a robust pipeline to meet or exceed stated growth targets.  

  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients, proactively identifying opportunities to address client objectives and serve as a key escalation point for critical challenges.

  • Drive strategic client management and planning to promote client satisfaction, retention and drive enhanced value to the client via DBG solutions.

  • Establish and maintain positive and long-lasting relationships with customers, employees, peers and management.  

  • Collaborate with business unit leadership, functional teams, and sales & account management teams to achieve integrated sales goals.

  • Present account status, overviews of opportunities and progress to cross-sell targets to senior leadership. 

  • Provide direction and mentor AAS growth team who is responsible for the day-to-day deliverables of client growth.

  • Attract, develop and retain high performing, diverse talent within the business; build future leaders through mentoring and serving as a role model.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred. 

  • 8 years of experience in business development for healthcare services, sales or partnerships; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background with proven results.

  • Health Plan client-facing business development, and/or account sales experience in healthcare industry with demonstrated results.

Annual Salary Range*: $162,000 - $202,800

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
