Job Title: Director Specialty Sales - Medicare (West)
Location: California

Responsible for driving Medicare Sales activities for all Net Membership Growth Initiatives  within the West Region. 
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 
    - Partners with Key Providers to develop joint growth plan through combined sales and marketing efforts.
    - Directs and coordinates sales activities related to programs such as Age Ins, Special Needs Plans (SNPs), Medicare Supplement, Multi-Cultural and other similar program . 
    - Provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure profitable growth. 
    - Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve membership growth and financial goals. 
    - Develops sales, marketing and incentive plans for FMOs, MGAs and Independent Brokers. 
    - Develops and motivates staff to achieve common goals. 
    - Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. 
    - Analyzes assigned market trends and shares competitive intelligence to develop business strategies.
    - May partner with the sales team on strategies and related activities and/or with Marketing/Product on new products/services, and implementations.
    - Develops business plans and formulates strategies for both new and existing businesses, partnerships, joint ventures and/or alliances.
    - Creates business cases and/or obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) business information needs and strategic initiatives.
    - Drive Medicare Membership growth initiatives such as Provider Partnering, Special Needs Plans, Medicare Age Ins, Multi-Cultural Outreach, and  member Onboarding.    

Qualifications - External

Minimum Requirements: 
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
    - Extensive knowledge of Medicare Sales and Marketing within the West Region states strongly preferred.
    - Demonstrated success in partnering with Provider Groups to grow shared membership/patient base.
    - Experience and knowledge of Medicare, business development, sales, marketing, data & analytics, provider relations, is client focused with a strong executive presence.
