The Cloud Security Integration Specialist acts as a focal for Cloud Security in supporting, enabling, and security subsidiary/affiliate integrations across all cloud platforms. This individual will be responsible for partnering with Subsidiary Security Governance to develop and execute cloud integration plans. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, process-oriented, and self-directed. This individual will have a successful track record of managing major strategic implementation initiatives and a solid understanding of healthcare business needs, security and compliance requirements.  

Essential duties can include but are not limited to: 

  • Serve as a focal for Cloud Security in support diligence efforts and integration priorities internally and with the management team of subsidiaries/affiliates. 

  • Play a key role to develop and support integration strategies in collaboration with Subsidiary Governance and BISO’s. 

  • Ensure Goals/KPIs of each integration are aligned with Cloud Security objectives. 

  • Develop & maintain relationships with Subsidiary Security Governance and key functional executives responsible for integration support & execution. 

  • Align with management teams of subsidiary/affiliate companies for mission/objectives/goals and agree the resource level to achieve the goals for integration phase on behalf of Cloud Security. 

  • Continually develop and refine best practices for integration consistent with Anthem’s cloud security requirements. 

  • In collaboration with the Business, Application teams, and the CCOE, the Cloud Security Architect establishes overall security architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged. 

  • Proposes opportunities to improve security outcomes and reduce risks based on targeted or continuous assessments. 

  • Defines, communicates, and drives security controls matrix design and implementation, and monitors compliance to enterprise-level security standards.  

  • Supports activities, process, and tools needed to improve overall security posture of the organization. 

  • Ensure compliance of security configurations for cloud solutions and aid in providing clear and concise processes and procedures for the implementation and enforcement of system security configurations. 

  • Support the risk management process by helping to determine and assign risk impact ratings and prioritize remediation efforts in accordance with Anthem accepted Risk Management and Cloud Security Reference Architecture Frameworks. 

  • Provide Sr. management with consultative support in controlling and/or enhancing processes and systems in compliance with policies and regulations focused on HIPAA, PCI, SOX, SOC and other regulatory guidance. 

Minimum Requirements:   
  • BS/BA in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with popular Cloud Vendors and technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud, and Oracle OCI. 

  • Experience in auditing information system design, provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running in the cloud with a strong preference for direct experience with. 

  • Experience in post-merger integration roles and/or leading cross-functional efforts. 

  • Strong strategic mindset backed by technical experience in cloud security. 

  • Ability to identify core issues quickly and put structure around ambiguity. 

  • Internal or external consulting experience would be a plus. 

  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and partners. 

  • Ability to form relationships and trust with colleagues at all levels. 

  • Knowledge of application deployment and data migration in various cloud platforms across different regions. 

  • Knowledge of and the ability to manage the processes, tools, techniques, and practices for assuring adherence to standards associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational data. 

  • Solid understanding of public cloud resource and control plane threats and vulnerabilities. 

  • Highly organized, productive, and poised, especially under high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios. 

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Understanding of legal / regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, FISMA, etc. 

  • Security Certifications: CISSP preferred, CCSP and other advanced technical security certifications (e.g., Information Systems Security Architecture Professional, Information Systems Security Engineering Professional, Certification and Accreditation or equivalent certifications); any level of training on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Controls Matrix and CIS benchmarks.
