Project Manager
Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week.
The Project Manager is responsible for working with business partners to identify and implement small to medium projects that support achievement of simple to complex unit or corporate goals. Projects may be business and/or technical (software implementation or application updates) in nature. Works with moderate guidance and is responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems. Operates within defined parameters using project management methodology.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the program's success.
- Develops a Program/Campaign Schedule and Timeline and Clarifies Scope Documentation.
- Develops a Program Charter (as appropriate).
- Develop and share Program RACI (as appropriate).
- Develop Communication Plan.
- Identifies and manages risk and issues.
- Identifies all Key Stakeholders.
- Serves as the main point of contact for assigned Programs
- Works with assigned project managers to ensure projects within the assigned program are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Manages the program budget.
- Works with procurement as applicable for onboarding vendors.
- Resolves personal conflicts between team members.
- Partners with Project/Program Owners and Project Managers to ensure successful management of the project.
- Partner evenly with the Strategist to ensure appropriate planning and execution.
- Partner with the PM Directors to ensure appropriate execution by the assigned project managers.
- Where appropriate partner with the GBX program/project managers to ensure the health of the program.
- Build Program Status report and share via agreed upon distribution methods and cadence timeline.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 3 years professional project management experience, which at least 2 years are spent leading and directing project tasks; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Demonstrated ability to create an effective team environment, build strong relationships, solving problems and issues in a matrix environment and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization is strongly preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience working in a lead role on one or more projects strongly preferred.
