Business Information Consultant (HEDIS Quality)
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote & office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint office locations.
The Business Information Consultant (HEDIS Quality) is responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts.
How You Will Make An Impact:
- Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
- Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
- Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
- Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
- May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
- May make recommendations based upon data analysis.
- Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.
- Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.
- Lead and manage key projects across teams and partner organizations related to HEDIS and quality improvement, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate assignments, track deliverables, prepare presentations and KPI tracking dashboards.
- Work across teams to develop technical documents and job aids to support process improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences:
- Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
- Experience defining, tracking, analyzing, and reporting out on KPI’s, including visual representation for leadership audiences is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, PowerPoint development and presentation, and problem-solving skills strongly preferred.
- Experience developing job aids, SOP’s, technical documents, and process flows to support operational processes is helpful.
- Expert level proficiency with member enrollment systems and claims highly preferred.
- HEDIS or quality experience preferred or any combination of healthcare quality and operational experience.
- Experience leading internal team audits inclusive of metric development, tracking, and identification of process improvement plans with measurable results is preferred.
