Business Intelligent - Data Engineer
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). We are looking for individuals that can work in a hybrid model from one of the Pulse Points: Indianapolis,  Atlanta, Mason or Norfolk. The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Business Intelligent - Data Engineer develops, recommends, and implements enterprise information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other elements of an infrastructure necessary to support information security in compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls.  Responsible for the selection and delivery of strategic network security, access control and secure transaction/messaging solutions.  
How you will make an impact:
  • Leads system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies; 
  • Leads development and execution of risk assessment methodologies to fit business, regulatory, and technical environment considerations; 
  • Leads the development of requirements, system architecture, and software design of security products and services; 
  • Leads the development of strategies for discovery, evaluation and response to new networking attacks; develops security incident response plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and perform analysis.
  • Design, Develop and optimize Tableau reports and dashboards. 
  • Maintain and update current Tableau dashboards. 
  • Develop data pipeline in Tableau, AWS Glue and Snow Pipe. 
  • Design and build Tables and Views in Snowflake. 
  • Troubleshoot data/dashboard related issues. 
  • Perform quality testing and ensure data accuracy. 
  • Perform UAT /demo of the dashboard and receive signoff from the users. 
  • Write complex SQL queries to pull data from multiple databases. 
  • Write python script to automate reporting processes. 
  • Designs & engineers comprehensive access management and network security technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards; works with architecture to update technology direction & strategy.  
  • Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 5 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security. 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years experience in systems support, system administration, system engineering, system security, access management, network security, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, and/or data; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Requires experience in planning and designing highly complex systems.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
  • 3+ years of experience in Tableau development. 
  • 3+ years of experience in Snowflake Datawarehouse development. 
  • 5 + years of experience in writing advanced SQL. 
  • Experience in writing Python. 
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concept including data modeling. 
  • Experience building ETL pipelines in AWS Glue, Lambda and Tableau. 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology. 
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity / Identity & Access Management (IAM) preferred.
