Responsible for driving growth through consultative selling and pipeline management for Carelon Behavioral Health for communicating value proposition of assets to high value clients.
Location: Field: This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as their role requires, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. This approach ensures flexibility, responsiveness to client needs, and direct, hands-on engagement.

How will you make an impact:
Manages a territory or assigned account list to prospect, nurture, develop and close sales in accordance with growth goals
Understands all aspects of the business and solutions to be successful at consultative selling, solving client problems while supporting the organizational goals.
Establishes, builds, and nurtures executive level relationships at targeted accounts that ultimately yield revenue, long term growth opportunities, and referenceable clients opportunities to introduce Carelon solutions.
Articulates and introduces specific solutions to new customers that leverage multiple assets of Carelon Behavioral Health.
Establishes and maintains a high level of visibility within industry groups and ecosystem and establish a high level of fluency in emerging and impactful industry developments.
Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
Collaborates with and influences product development strategies by representing the voice of the customer for assigned segment.
Supports account finalist opportunities for new sales and account management.
Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives as they are discovered in the selling cycle.
Builds and leverages C-suite level relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems in the home health/post-acute care market.
Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
Collaborates with Product /Solution teams to inform the development of offerings to meet customer/segment needs and communicate these effectively.
Collaborates and supports team as needed to win business
Consistently build and manage a sales pipeline.
Minimum requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field with a minimum of 10 years related experience to include senior sales experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in health plan/payer sales.
Track record of closing large, complex sales in matrixed environment.
Current relationships with senior executives in health plan/payer market.
Extensive knowledge of behavioral health, substance use disorder or other services related to mental health is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of government payers/processes such as Medicaid/Medicare is preferred.
Experience selling carved-out benefits.
Meets/beats established quota targets and growth objectives.
Availability to travel as needed for clients, conference, internal meetings and other locations as necessary.
Candidates from all states are welcome, but they must reside within commuting distance of a Pulse Point office location where we have an office to be considered Travels to worksite, client locations, and other sites as necessary.
