Carelon Solution Innovation Director 

Location: Alternate locations may be considered. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations. 

The Carelon Solutions Innovation Director will work with the Carelon Analytics, Actuarial and Sales team to streamline opportunity analysis, reporting and reconciliation process for risk-based deals for all Carelon Business Units. This position is responsible for driving support for and external sales of Carelon solutions, including Medical Benefits Management, Post-Acute Solutions, Behavioral Health, and Palliative Care. The role also includes measuring, tracking, reporting, and reconciling the performance of Carelon solutions for external clients.

How you will make an impact:

  • Provides comprehensive analytic, actuarial and business insight across Carelon Business Units.

  • Develops reporting and risk reconciliation packages across all Carelon solutions

  • Provides analytic and business insight across Carelon Business Units

  • Have detailed technical/actuarial conversations around savings methodology with external clients

  • Investigates and manages internal and external issues on an ad hoc basis including provider issues, clinical issues, and other inquiries.

  • May provide leadership and/or oversight of projects, project teams and/or external consultants.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related area and a minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible business and professional experience including 3 years of leadership experience in a related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:

  • Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Member of American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) highly preferred.

  • Work experience in product development, marketing or project management experience preferred.

  • Leadership experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry strongly preferred. 

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and adaptability highly preferred.

  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of data analytics, project execution, process improvement and change management experience (strategic and execution) strongly preferred.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred. 

  • Proficient of Microsoft Office products Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word strongly preferred.
