The Community Outreach Specialist, will play a pivotal role in educating and empowering local communities while working directly with our Account Executive. In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for providing community education and training, as well as marketing our vital crisis services through outreach events and activities across the state. Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) and must live within 50 miles of our Manchester, New Hampshire Pulse Point office location.
How will you make an impact:
Creates opportunities with events and presentations to reach and educate the community on company programs.
Establishes and maintains relationships with community leaders, organizations, and churches and acts as resource for organizations interested in company programs.
Establishes and maintains relationships and executes growth and retention strategies with providers within assigned territories.
Delivers presentations, attends meetings, and distributes educational materials to stakeholders and community partners.
Provides support for development and management of budget.
Constructively collaborate with providers and stakeholders to identify specific community needs and to develop improvement and education initiatives to address these needs
Meet directly with QI teams both internally and externally to support quality improvement initiatives
Review complaints and grievances, follow-up to instruct performance management of staff as needed, and foster customer satisfaction through the resolution process.
Inform systemic improvements through the synthesis of feedback from multiple sources.
Provide education about the crisis system at community events and sponsored events.
Minimum requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree in sociology, psychology, social work, public health, nursing or other related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Bilingual skills preferred.
Experience in quality management is preferred.
Enjoys problem-solving and fixing issues.
Ability to work with clients and collaborate with all 10 health centers, hospitals, jails, and first responders, providing support and education.
Willingness to travel within the state of NH 30-40% of the time, which includes some overnights and weekly fieldwork. Travel will include various locations, including trips up north of the state.
