DevOps Director

Location: Atlanta, GA, preferred. This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered.

The DevOps Director will be responsible for setup, configuration, monitoring and management of IT applications cloud and on-prem infrastructure. It would include vendor system integrations, network connectivity and security aspects of data and infrastructure.

How you will make an impact:

  • Define and implement strategy/approach for E2E management of cloud and on-prem infrastructure of technology platforms and systems supporting large scale PBM & Pharmacy business/operations
  • Collaborate with both IT & Business leaders across the enterprise to determine DevOps best practices and Infrastructure technical requirements of applications/systems
  • Responsible to build CICD automation pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and manage deployments across the various environments
  • Implement 24x7 infrastructure and application performance monitoring (APM) to ensure high availability, an optimal performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Ensures disaster recovery, business continuity and audit plans are implemented, monitored, and updated on a recurring basis
  • At a regular cadence identify and exploit opportunities to optimize infrastructure, increase efficiency without any negative impact to ongoing business/operations
  • Act as an escalation point for faults, attend/lead investigation into incidents and complete follow-up tasks
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports

Minimum Requirements:

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years of IT management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Infrastructure as Code, Infrastructure design and scaling (Vertical and HPA) containers in Kubernetes
  • CICD – pipeline development and automation
  • Observability & Monitoring (Infra. and APM)
  • Cloud Networking & Security Integration – AWS and Azure with Hybrid On-prem
  • Tactical Operations – Cloud patching, AMI rehydration, Cluster upgrades etc.
  • SRE – Frontline operations, Incident Management, Rapid response

Tools & Technologies:

  • Azure and AWS Experience, strongly preferred
  • GitHub, Terraform, Datadog, Splunk, Bamboo, BitBucket, strongly preferred
  • PostgreSQL, Oracle, RedShift, Snowflake, Kafka, strongly preferred
  • Apigee OPDK/ Hybrid/ X, Akamai
  • Copilot, CheckmarxOne, Tekton, Argo, HELM, IAM, Wiz
  • Service Now, JIRA, Confluence

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $167,112 to $250,668
