Director, Executive Development
Preferred Location: Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Mendota Heights, MN: Norfolk, VA; or St. Louis, MO.
This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of the PulsePoint locations.
Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection, with the minimum in-office commitment being 1-2 days in the office per week.
The Director, Executive Development is responsible for creating and delivering programs to engage, develop, and retain high-potential associates and management.
How you will make an impact:
- Leads the design and implementation of programs that supply the organization with trained Executive-level leaders, including talent pipeline.
- Develops and manages the curriculum design for executive management training programs for top management talent and high-potential associates.
- Responsible for facilitating, identifying, engaging, developing and introducing management talent into the talent pipeline for future director level roles.
- Consults with management regarding the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of management training programs.
- Ensures that all programs are designed to maintain plans and strategies.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS in Organization Development, Management, HR Development or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise-wide training and development leadership required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Executive management curriculum design experience required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Curriculum design for high performing and high potential management staff strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree or professional learning and development certification strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing leadership development programs for senior executives that drive organizational growth and transformation.
- Experience in coaching senior leaders and providing mentorship to high-potential talent.
- Expertise in leveraging data analytics to assess program effectiveness and make informed decisions to continually improve leadership development efforts.
- Skilled in using various assessment tools and methodologies to identify leadership potential and development needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships across the organization.
- Background in instructional design and curriculum development tailored to executive leadership programs.
