Director of DevOps

Location: 740 W. Peachtree Street, Atlanta GA. This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. The Director of DevOps is a technology & people leadership role within CarelonRx IT organization. Director of DevOps will lead all aspects of defining & implementing E2E DevOps strategy & framework using latest tools, technologies and processes.  Along with onshore and offshore team of DevOps engineers Director of DevOps will be responsible for setup, configuration, monitoring and management of on-prem and in the cloud infrastructure. It would include vendor system integrations, network connectivity and security aspects of data and infrastructure.

How you will make an impact:

•    Define and implement strategy/approach for E2E management of cloud and on-prem infrastructure of technology platforms and systems supporting large scale PBM & Pharmacy business/operations
•    Collaborate with both IT & Business leaders across the enterprise to determine DevOps best practices and Infrastructure technical requirements of applications/systems
•    Responsible to build CICD automation pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and manage deployments across various environments
•    Implement 24x7 infrastructure and application performance monitoring (APM) to ensure high availability, optimal performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
•    Ensure disaster recovery, business continuity and audit plans are implemented, monitored, and updated on a recurring basis
•    At a regular cadence identify and exploit opportunities to optimize infrastructure, increase efficiency without any negative impact to ongoing business/operations 
•    Act as an escalation point for faults, attend/lead investigation into incidents and complete follow-up tasks
•    Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports

Minimum Requirements:

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years of IT management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

•    Experience with Infrastructure design and scaling (IaC, HPA) containers in Kubernetes is preferred.
•    Observability & Monitoring (Infra. and APM) is preferred.
•    Experience with Cloud Networking & Security Integration – AWS and Azure with Hybrid On-prem is preferred.
•    Tactical Operations experience – Cloud patching, AMI rehydration, Cluster upgrades etc. is preferred.
•    Experience with Azure and AWS is strongly preferred
•    Knowledge of the following platforms is strongly preferred: GitHub, Terraform, Datadog, Splunk, Bamboo, Kafka and BitBucket.
•    Experience with the following databases/data warehouses is strongly preferred: PostgreSQL, Oracle, RedShift, and Snowflake
•    Knowledge of Apigee OPDK/ Hybrid/ X, Akamai, is strongly preferred.
