Emergency & Crisis Program Director

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office three days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of remote work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered.

The Emergency & Crisis Program Director is responsible for providing a wide array of support and collaboration to enhance the company’s ability to effectively prepare for, manage and recover from various emergencies, incidents, and events.

How you will make an impact:

  • Leads the development and maintenance of crisis and emergency management plans and templates across local, regional, and global levels.
  • Provides support to functional teams and business units to assist and guide in the preparation of plans, training and exercises.
  • Actively engages in and/or leads responses to real crisis incidents and events.
  • Works collaboratively to respond to emergency or crisis events and communicates response efforts to corporate leadership and enterprise business partners.
  • Facilitates and/or leads training, drills and exercises in collaboration with other Global Security & Safety staff and other key stakeholders.
  • Improves preparedness for local, regional, and global critical events.
  • Establishes and maintains critical law enforcement and other relevant government entity relationships.
  • Collaborates with local partners to enhance response effectiveness.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends in support of crisis response efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree or international equivalent in a criminal justice, homeland security, or related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in major law enforcement, emergency management, or private sector security organization, with direct oversight over emergency and crisis management programs; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written presentation skills, as well as a high level of emotional intelligence is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but within the confines of a small team is strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certifications are preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a global, matrixed environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a private sector setting, overseeing emergency and/or crisis management functions is preferred.
