Business Information Analyst Senior


Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 8600 Bryn Mawr Ave., Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Business Information Analyst Senior will analyze large quantities of data to create summaries, develop models, and extract insights.


How you will make an impact:


•    Devise best ways to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data for business issues that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
•    Make business recommendations based on data analysis.
•    Lead and coordinate testing for small to large initiatives.
•    Identify, create, and execute the appropriate Test Assets (plans, cases, scripts, metrics) to ensure the developed application conforms to requirements and design.
•    Coordinate/execute testing across multiple testing phases, including SIT, UAT, and Regression.
•    Define appropriate testing methods to employ to ensure the developed application conforms to requirements and design.
•    Execute linkage from test plan to test scenarios and test cases.
•    Identify when test automation is appropriate.
•    Coordinate, identify, and execute test cases.
•    Manage communication and relationships across a diverse team of Testers, Developers, and Businesses in a very fast-paced platform/ environment.
•    Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the testing team and organization.
•    Analyze and evaluate test automation feasibility of multiple technologies.
•    Identify, report, and review defects in assessing application quality.
•    Lead defect triage for smaller or medium initiatives.
•    Collect testing metrics, and report status as defined in test plan with supporting data.
•    Identify and collect Test Data for test execution.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or related field. Three (3) years of experience in related occupation(s).

Additional Requirements: 


Three (3) years of experience must include: 


•    Three (3) years of experience manipulating large sets of data. 
•    Three (3) years of experience compiling test cases and test scenarios. 
•    Three (3) years of experience defining test data needed to support all test scenarios. 
•    Three (3) years of experience with relational databases and SQL. 
•    Three (3) years of experience utilizing a BI Tool (Business Objects) to create and publish periodic reports for business users. 
•    Three (3) years of experience presenting, communicating results of testing and making recommendations for defects resolutions in a clear manner. 
•    Three (3) years of experience utilizing data warehouses and marts.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or related field and one (1) year of experience. Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the above listed skills.
