Engineer Lead

Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 740 W. Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Engineer Senior is responsible for full delivery of end-to-end system development and maintenance on enterprise-wide technology platforms.

How you will make an impact

  • Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and lead requirements gathering meetings and review designs with the business.
  • Lead efforts with web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products.
  • Implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
  • Implement process to reduce barriers and roadblocks in projects, services, and processes in order to operate more efficiently.
  • Own the change request process and coordinate with other teams as necessary.
  • Develop and own list of final enhancements.
  • Develop and define application scope and objectives and supervise the preparation of technical and functional specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
  • Ensure unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed, and system is implemented according to plan.
  • Deliver application technology solutions and data information planning efforts.
  • Coordinate and manage on-call support and own the system monitoring process.
  • Own the technical development environment.
  • Lead multiple or large projects and facilitate large group JAD sessions for requirements, modeling in several disciplines.
  • Lead vendor evaluation and analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in any occupation working in multiple technology platforms.
  • Additionally, this position requires experience in each of the following:
  • Five (5) years of experience with business and technical applications;
  • Five (5) years of experience in technical development environment and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure proper development, scaling, and requirements;
  • Three (3) years of experience with mentoring others and providing troubleshooting support;
  • Three (3) years of experience with multiple databases and multiple languages;
  • Three (3) years of experience determining the continuous improvement opportunities of automation and engineering solutions;
  • Three (3) years of experience leading requirements gathering meetings and gathering and documenting requirements and reviewing with stakeholders.

Alternate Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience.
