Engineer Senior

Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 740 W. Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308

This role requires associates to be in-office 1 day per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Work Hours:  Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Engineer Senior is provides technical and rotating on-call administrative support for packaged and internally developed applications.

How you will make an impact:

  • Install, configure, and administer software on various platforms.

  • Coordinate patching and other infrastructure activities with applicable teams.

  • Create and maintain documentation related to the support of application systems and environments.

  • Lead, design, and communicate software upgrades, implementation of new software offerings and infrastructure, and maintenance.

  • Research, recommend, and implement for capacity modifications.

  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams.

  • Establish, implement, and maintain software administration best practices.

  • Monitor and Stop/Start application services.

  • Communicate outages to team members and users.

  • Collaborate with project managers/project leaders to document tasks and update status.

  • Implement tool security.

Minimum Requirements:   

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience in related occupation(s).

  • Five (5) years of experience must include: Five (5) years of experience working in information technology. Experience must also include:

  • Five (5) years of experience performing Informatica PowerCenter and packaged application server software administration, including development and/or installation and configuration of the software on AIX and Linux RedHat systems; Five (5) years of experience using Informatica software products with two or more of the following database types: Teradata, Oracle, DB2, Sysbase, SQL Server.

  • Five (5) years of experience performing software troubleshooting and job failure resolution for Informatica software and packaged application products;

  • Five (5) years of experience creating and maintaining documentation and standards.

  • Three (3) years of experience with Informatica application or server implementation standards, configuration, optimization and performance tuning.

  • Three (3) years of experience with Informatica software application code configuration, optimization, and performance tuning.

  • Three (3) years of experience with following change management policies and procedures.

Alternate Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and three (3) years of experience. Must have three (3) years of experience in each of the above listed skills.
