Financial Accounting & Reporting Director
Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Financial Accounting & Reporting Director is responsible for financial leadership and technical cost strategy in support of National Government Services (NGS) current and future federal growth initiatives. This role leads the financial development for complex, high-value federal RFP responses, including CMS and Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) opportunities.
Provides financial leadership, decision support, and strategic direction to ensure competitive, compliant, and defensible submissions that align with enterprise growth objectives. Serves as the senior financial authority during the proposal lifecycle, overseeing Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, staffing and productivity modeling, cost realism strategy, and pricing integration. Partners closely with cross functional management and Executive Leadership to balance competitiveness, profitability, and performance risk in federal procurements.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead the financial strategy and development of financial metrics for complex federal RFP submissions.
- Translate RFP requirements into detailed staffing models, workload forecasts, and comprehensive cost builds.
- Oversee development and validation of defensible Basis of Estimates (BOEs), ensuring full traceability between technical volumes, staffing plans, and pricing tables.
- Validate workload assumptions, staffing ratios, productivity metrics, and ramp schedules using historical data and benchmarking.
- Partner with Pricing leadership to align cost builds with price-to-win strategy while maintaining margin and compliance discipline.
- Ensure accurate application of direct and indirect cost structures (fringe, overhead, G&A).
- Identify and clearly communicate financial and performance risk exposure to senior leadership.
- Lead and direct financial process improvement initiatives that enhance proposal governance and growth execution.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 8 years progressively more responsible experience in a high-level financial analysis position; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- CPA, CMA, MBA or Master’s degree in accounting is required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Experience supporting senior management, the ability to project manage autonomously and analyze administrative expenses in an intricate operating structure strongly preferred.
- Experience with government contracting and/or Medicare Administrative Contracts preferred.
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $115,584 to $173,376.
