The Financial Planning & Strategy Execution Director Senior in the Chief of Staff Office is critical in driving strategy execution, financial rigor, and executive communication across the Digital Platforms and Artificial Intelligence Office (DPAIO). This position enables effective decision-making, builds and manages the operating rhythm for executive leaders, and ensures disciplines follow-through on priorities that advance the organization's mission while improving DPAIO financial visibility and alignment.
How you will make an impact:
- Responsible for leading large engagement teams and high value, complex, enterprise-wide level programs or projects that cross multiple business units while ensuring structured execution, transparent communication, and timely follow-ups that support the operating rhythm of DPAIO leadership.
- Leads teams in conceiving, shaping, refining and prioritizing enterprise wide initiatives and innovation opportunities, translating strategy into clear work plans, processes, and executive- ready communication that supports leadership alignment.
- Provides and grows technical knowledge and subject matter expertise, serving as a strategic advisor and contributing to operational and financial frameworks, playbooks, and process documentation that strengthen the Chief of Staff Office.
- Accountable for initiative planning and ongoing account management, helping to build and maintain the operating cadence (monthly business reviews, strategic checkpoints, and leadership meetings) that drives execution and financial discipline across DPAIO.
- Manages a portfolio of strategic initiatives and high value projects, optimizing team capacity, ensuring cross-functional engagement, and delivering consistent communication to executive leaders on key milestones, decisions, risks and financial implications.
- Leads market analyses and strategic assessment initiatives; develops, owns, and evolves complex financial analysis and forecasting; and contributes to ROI, scenario, and tradeoff analyses that inform executive decision-making and enterprise prioritization.
- Demonstrates thought leadership, innovative tendencies, and strong execution capability through relationship building, concise storytelling, and confident executive-presence- including the ability to translate financial insights into clear, actionable guidance for senior leaders.
- Provides engagement and project oversight, establishes and reports on key metrics, operational dashboards, financial performance indicators, and performance measurements; and delivers status updates that strengthen execution discipline within the Chief of Staff Office.
- Facilitates large cross-functional working sessions or meetings to align strategy and plan and will provide individual or work collaboratively in a dedicated account management role for one or more business areas.
- Develops realistic simulations and DPAIO financial scenarios to anticipate potential outcomes, support strategic decision-making, and inform long-range financial and operating plans for DPAIO leadership.
- Plays a key role in driving enterprise-wide corporate strategy and innovation efforts, contributing to both short- and long-range planning processes, financial transparency, and embedding operational routines that ensure sustained progress.
- Provides Continuous Improvement coaching, operational guidance and mentoring, growing project management and analytical capabilities and strengthening the operating model of the Chief of Staff Office.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 6 years experience in management consulting, change management, large scale project management and/or process improvement leadership; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
- Technology finance or Fin Tech background strongly preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, demonstrating fluency with all key packages, including advanced Excel and financial modeling tools, with written, oral and presentation skills necessary to successfully influence senior executives strongly preferred.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment strongly preferred.
- Progressive experience in strategic consulting, corporate strategy, internal finance, or enterprise transformation strongly preferred.
- Top-tier management consulting background or comparable internal strategy or finance experience strongly preferred.
- MBA or Master’s Degree from a top-tier institution with a concentration in strategy, finance, or analytics strongly preferred.
- Experience developing C-level presentations, managing executive stakeholders, and aligning cross-functional teams on strategic roadmaps and financial plans strongly preferred.
- High EQ, executive presence, and a confident storytelling approach that resonates with senior leaders preferred.
- Thrives in ambiguity, can build structure from scratch, and navigates change with a solution-oriented mindset preferred.
