Head of Clinical Production Operations and Strategy

Location: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, except for required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Head of Clinical Production Operations and Strategy will be responsible for leading the enterprise production planning function to ensure clinical capacity is strategically aligned with member demand across onboarding, longitudinal care, episodic interventions, annual assessments, and other clinical programs. This role serves as the strategic owner of translating membership projections, clinical demand forecasts, workforce considerations, financial objectives, and operational priorities into actionable planning strategies that support scalable growth and operational excellence. Success in this role requires strong analytical rigor, sound operational judgment, executive communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional leaders across Clinical Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, and other business partners to drive informed decision-making and organizational success.

How you will make an impact:

  • Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define enterprise production planning strategy, ensuring clinical capacity is aligned with member demand, operational priorities, and long-term business objectives.

  • Translates strategy into actionable forecasting methodologies, capacity plans, and program priorities  to support enterprise strategic goals.

  • Evaluates ongoing performance and develops analytical frameworks that inform changes to production planning/ prioritization against evolving business needs.

  • Builds and leverages relationships across Clinical Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, Workforce Management, and executive leadership to provide innovative solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Identifies opportunities to improve operational performance and clinical capacity by evolving the parameters of production models and/ or developing pilots for varying approaches to member scheduling

  • Maintains peer and executive-level readouts, including analysis of staffing budget, to ensure operations and clinical capacity are in line with financial targets.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 years of strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Finance, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field preferred.

  • Experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, operations, or Chief of Staff roles (preferably within healthcare startups or other fast-paced, high-growth organizations) preferred.

  • Experience developing enterprise production planning, capacity planning, workforce planning, supply and demand forecasting, or other operational planning frameworks that inform strategic business decisions preferred.

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills with experience in forecasting, business case development, operational analysis, and translating complex data into executive-level recommendations preferred.

  • Experience within healthcare, including value-based care, population health, care management, provider services, or other clinically focused healthcare operations, with an understanding of workforce planning and operational performance drivers preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and collaborate cross-functionally in complex, ambiguous environments preferred.
