The Manager II Behavioral Health Services is responsible for Behavioral Health Utilization Management (BH UM), or Behavioral Health Case Management (BH CM) or a combination of both functions (integrated model). May also be responsible for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)/Resource Center (RC). Resilience through Intervention, Support, and Education (RISE). Key interventions such as assessment, care planning, service coordination, and resource identification will be implemented by field-based Case Managers to potentially reduce (or eliminate) various negative health outcomes and the high dollar medical spend related to opioid or alcohol use. The team consist of license and non licensed clinicians.
Responsibilities for EAP/Resource Center include: Managing a team of licensed clinicians and non-clinical support staff responsible for telephonic crisis intervention, substance abuse/biopsychosocial assessments.
Supports quality improvement by identifying new business processes, recommending revisions to policies/procedures, and providing quality control to ensure adherence to the appropriate medical policy, best practices, relevant clinical standards and contracts for an inbound and outbound calls related to accessing BH Services. Oversights the clinical Case Management team in managing case consultation and care coordination services. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with staff, clients and providers; serves as a resource for direct reports, vendors, account management, implementation teams, privacy and compliance and infrastructure support teams.

Ensures staff adheres to regulatory guidelines.
Supports quality improvement activities.
May assist with implementation of cost of care initiatives.
May attend meetings to review CM processes.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Manages a team of licensed clinicians and non-clinical support staff responsible to ensure appropriate linkage to care for outpatient BH services.
Leads development and maintenance of positive relationships with providers, Clients and works to ensure quality outcomes.
Provides leadership in the development of new pilots and initiatives to improve care.
Minimum Requirements:
MS in social work, counseling, psychology or related behavioral health field or a degree in nursing and minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and prior utilization management experience, which includes a minimum of 2 years prior management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires current, active, unrestricted license such as RN, LCSW (as applicable by state law and scope of practice), LMHC, LPC, LBA (as allowed by applicable state laws), LMFT, LMSW or Clinical Psychologist to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure in applicable states or territory of the United States.
Prior experience in Managed Care setting required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Experience applying clinical and policy knowledge on the continuum of Behavioral Health treatment strongly preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $104,420 - $163,4440
