Title: Manager, Pharmacist in Charge
Location: This role will be 100% onsite at our infusion center at 2511 Ross Clark Cir, Dothan, AL.
Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of the location listed above.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5:00 PM CST, will be on call 1 out of every 5 weeks.

The Manager, Pharmacist In Charge is responsible for organization, coordination, direction, and evaluation of the provision of all pharmacy services, for supervising center staff and managing operating expenses of the pharmacy while providing high quality health care service.
How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Ensures that all pharmacy staff are accountable to the organization and decisions made that effect the consumer.
Serves as the Pharmacist-in-charge and is responsible for ensuring staff have appropriate licensing/certification/registration and adequate continuing education as well as developing competence assessment programs and ensuring staff perform duties and responsibilities with efficiency and safety.
Assists in ensuring that all Policy and Procedures as well as accreditation standards are followed.
Keeps current with all State and Federal regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy and recommends changes.
Assists in ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal pharmaceutical services that meet all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements.
Coordinate the provision of pharmacy services to patients in concert with other health professionals.
Ensure achievement of standards of performance for personnel, adherence to all company Policy and Procedures, and compliance with federal, state, local and other applicable regulations.
Select, train, develop and motivate a competent staff to meet and surpass goals and objectives.
Serve as liaison between specialty pharmacy, hospitals, home health agencies and other health professionals.
Serve as liaison between pharmacy and supporting departments in admissions, billing, and management personnel.
Work with the corporate office to maintain all state permits and PIC requirements and all regulatory changes.
Fiscal management of pharmacy expenses.
Initiate, monitor and report on QA&I activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires an RPh and a minimum of 5 years pharmacy experience and a minimum of 5 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Current active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in applicable state(s) required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Infusion experience highly preferred.
Sterile compounding experience highly preferred.
PharmD preferred.
Prior experience with mail order and/or retail pharmacy compliance preferred.
Knowledge of DEA, FDA and state regulations pertaining to handling of controlled substances preferred. Experience interpreting compliance requirements and regulations preferred.
Experience working with State Boards of Pharmacy regarding complaints, issue resolution, inspection and central fill requirements preferred.
