
MMM Summer Intern- Social Work Student

Intern- Social Work Student
Location: This position will work onsite 5 days a week. When reporting to the office, the location will be on MMM Bayamon office located on PUERTO RICO- BAYAMON, PLAZA TROPICAL CENTER CARR 167. Travel to additional office locations may be required.
Schedule: This position will work a first shift within operational hours from 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Additional hours or days may be required based on operational needs.
The Intern is for participants of an approved internship program for high school, undergraduate, or post-graduate students. Specific work assignments will vary by department.
For the Social Work Student Intern:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Will be in charge for the process of validation and update information in EquiRed (Community Data Bank).
- Complete telephone calls in order to identify updated information about community resources as well as new services in the community to fulfill members needs which are not cover by the health plan benefits.
- Develop a powerpoint presentation and present results to the staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be part of an approved academic course of study, and that course of study must be applicable to the company's operations or the support of those operations.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of bachelors degree in Social Work strongly preferred.
- Bilingual ( English & Spanish) Preferred.
