Provider Relationship Account Manager Sr. (Value-Based Contracts) (JR142924)

Location: Candidates must reside within 50 miles and 1-hour commute each way of one of the following Elevance Health PulsePoint offices:       

  • Atlanta, Georgia

  • Columbus/Midland, GA

Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection, with the minimum in-office commitment for this role being 1 day in an office per week.

The Provider Relationship Account Manager Sr. is responsible for developing and maintaining positive provider relationships with a portfolio of providers participating in value-based programs in the Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • May act as a primary point of contact, post contract implementation, for providers participating in complex, Value Based Program operating structures and diverse integration/risk contracting strategies.

  • Advocates for portfolio of assigned providers; fully understands their operating /business model and proactively identifies provider needs and recommends ways to improve existing relationships through best practices and manages relationships and provides leadership to dedicated matrixed teams.

  • Conducts regular on-site and/or virtual/digital visits, communicates administrative and programmatic changes, and facilitates proactive education and resolution of highly complex, value based program provider issues.

  • Functions as a high-level technical resource in analyzing what is driving provider cost and quality trends for the purpose of improving provider performance.   

  • Leads internal performance strategy, and external Joint Operation Committees (JOC) meetings.

  • Researches and analyzes issues that may impact future provider program participation.

  • May provide mentorship, training, guidance to less experienced Provider Relationship Account Management associates.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of customer service experience including 3 years’ experience healthcare or provider environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Travels to worksite and other locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Value-Based Contracts within Managed Care or Provider organizations.

  • Medicare value-based experience with a focus on cost and quality performance strongly preferred; Commercial and Medicaid experience a plus.

  • Experience driving provider cost of care and quality metric performance.
