Regional Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) –Paragon Healthcare

Home Base Location: Atlanta, GA, or Fort Myers, FL Travel up to 75% of time

Coverage States: GA, TN, AL, FL, OH

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm, 8-10 Hour shifts, Onsite 

The Regional Family Nurse Practitioner is Responsible for patient care within his/her scope of practice in the clinical setting.

How you will make an impact:

  • Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy and procedures.
  • Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.
  • Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis.
  • Refer to the NP on duty for complete physical assessment as needed.
  • Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record.
  • Reports all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and is responsible for the follow up on any problem which is identified.
  • Communicates effectively with other members of the IV team on patient status and observations.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times by abiding by HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • Evaluates the patient’s response to therapy and documents this finding in the medical record.
  • Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
  • Participates in the Quality Improvement program.
  • Ensures that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment.
  • Participates in On-Call program, which may include after-hours, weekend and holiday calls and visitations.
  • Provides clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA and may also support new market launches.
  • May require extensive travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an MS in Nursing and minimum of 2 years of related experience with clinical emphasis for nurse practitioner; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with IV's required.
  • Requires active, current and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • Multi-state licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states. Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Infusion Experience Preferred
  • Ability to travel for coverage within the Atlanta Metroplex as needed.
  • Ability to travel for coverage out of State: TN, AL, FL as needed.
  • Ability to Travel for coverage up to 16 sites and 4 states as well as Ohio as needed.
  • Ability to Perform role in multiple centers in a regional manner.  
  • Requirement for multi-state clinical licensure attainment and maintenance
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time within their region (GA, TN, AL, FL, OH)
