Sales RVP - National Medical Sales - Texas
Location: This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as their role requires, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. This approach ensures flexibility, responsiveness to client needs, and direct, hands-on engagement. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Travel of 50%-70% will be required.

The Sales RVP - National Medical Sales - Texas is responsible for directing sales and retention strategy for large, complex national accounts in the California market. Our ideal candidate has a proven track-record in generating new business, broker/client/consultant relations and partner collaboration. Typical group size is 2,500+ eligible or enrolled subscribers TX based and work opportunities that we are selected for second blue, which may be in TX and or surrounding states.
How you will make an impact:
Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve membership growth and financial goals.
Builds relationships with internal stakeholders as well as potential clients that result in sales activities related to medical, wellness, and specialty product sales.
Leads finalist presentations and executive customer engagements for new business and strategic account opportunities.
Builds relationships with broker and consultant partners in TX and key markets.
Travel to client sites and other business locations throughout Texas and, as needed, surrounding states to support sales opportunities, including Second Blue opportunities where we are selected to compete or present.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Must obtain and maintain required Department of Insurance (DOI) licenses and carrier appointments in applicable state(s) to perform essential job functions, including selling, account management, and servicing of insurance products.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Strongly prefer experience in health insurance sales in local and national markets preferred.
Excellent managerial and leadership skills and extensive knowledge of local and national markets and health insurance sales, including direct to employer sales, is highly preferred.
Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams and Salesforce highly preferred.
