Staff Vice President (VP) Government Business & Technology Enablement

Location:   May be located in any Elevance Health PulsePoint office preferably in Indianapolis, IN, Atlanta, GA, Mason, OH, Richmond, VA, Norfolk, VA or Woodland Hills, CA.

(This role requires associates to be in-office at least 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Summary

The Staff Vice President (VP) Govt Business and Technology Enablement, is a vital leadership customer-facing role in the Govt Business (GB) Digital Platforms and Artificial Intelligence Office (DPAIO) CIO function, supporting long-term and short-term business growth with digital technologies.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with leaders of DPAIO GB and horizontal functions and business partners to align our technology capabilities with core govt business strategies, driving growth with innovation to explore new opportunities for business models and services transformation. Your strategic orientation and expertise will shape the Digital roadmap and business plans to enable new products and services with our modern platforms, data assets and AI platform ensuring seamless integration and synergistic progress across the enterprise capabilities.

Through dynamic cross-functional partnerships across govt business and our strategic partners and emphasis on strategic foresight, you will enhance our competitive edge and foster sustainable, technology-driven business growth leveraging the strengths and investments in existing and new capabilities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and plan to integrate govt. business strategy across all DPAIO functions to ensure actions for profitable growth. Leader will articulate and compose a collaborative inspiring vision for the future with strategies and associated roadmaps for profitable business growth with incremental offerings, improving retention and holistic digital/AI first processes.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as a strategic advisor for multiple business units of Medicare, Medicaid and Duals etc. Facilitate communication and collaboration across DPAIO to ensure shared understanding and objectives and long-term plans. Key opportunity is to integrate enterprise capabilities with additional domain capabilities to create and accelerate govt business growth with improvement of member health outcomes, retention and market expansion.

  • Customer-Centric Engagement: Drive initiatives that enhance customer experience by collaborating with key customer-facing health plans and central MA, duals functions and interface with all leaders for govt business across functions to suggest evolution of the business models with the latest offerings of digital/data and AI technologies.

  • Innovation & Growth: Identify opportunities for technology-driven business capabilities, ensuring business growth with an agile mindset. Partners with GB and Technology Leadership peers to share and execute on these capability roadmaps and determine their potential impact on the company's growth strategy.

  • Performance Measurement: Establish KPI’s and metrics to measure the effectiveness of how technology enables the new business models and size the opportunities for execution. Provide regular reports and updates to technology and business leadership on progress towards established strategic goals.

  • Customer Feedback Integration: Integrate customer needs and feedback into the digital technology roadmap identifying new opportunities, ensuring ongoing alignment with customer expectations and requirements.

  • Use Cases, Success Stories, and Engagement: Develop and present new business models, use cases or success stories that demonstrate how technology solutions meet customer needs and create business value and top line profitable growth. Facilitate workshops to brainstorm and showcase these solutions, gather input, and ensure alignment with customer business strategies.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to the integration of business processes and technology solutions and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

  • Leadership and Organizational Development: Ensures organization has talent to successfully support business needs, mentor and develop a high-performing team capable of driving strategy alignment and effective execution of capabilities with modern AI based practices to reduce speed to market and implementation costs

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field or 15 years of senior leadership experience

  • Deep understanding of govt healthcare programs is a must, the last 5 years must be with similar healthcare/payer systems supporting new business models and also demonstrated examples of profitable growth with Digital technologies.

  • 10+ years of experience in IT strategy, support for GTM/business development, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position of VP/CIO/CTO/COO etc.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

  • Proven track record of aligning technology initiatives with business goals to achieve optimal results.

  • Strong understanding of govt business health programs, Business trends and their potential impact on business growth by leveraging digital technologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and operate in a matrix organization and comfortable with influencing changes across organization to support our customer first mindset.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, strategic mindset that results in long term success and communication skills to present to senior leadership.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $201,760 to 363,168.
