Title: Staff VP, Accreditation & Quality Programs
Location: Within 50 miles of a PulsePoint office with strong preference given to Washington DC, Virginia Beach VA, Maryland, New York, Chicago IL, or Atlanta GA.
Summary
Responsible for acquiring, maintaining, and maximizing NCQA and other required accreditations across multiple lines of business and applicable entities. The Staff VP works with business leaders and stakeholders to meet or exceed accreditation standards, and to address opportunities for improvement across standards.
Team Scope
Staff VP will lead a team of 6+ direct reports and approximately 22 indirect reports.
Position Responsibilities
Provides oversight for Quality Programs and the Enterprise Quality Oversight Committee (EQOC), and consultation on quality dashboard reporting.
Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
Develops and executes comprehensive strategy to maximize all accreditation efforts.
Develops and executes comprehensive strategy to improve Commercial NCQA Accreditation status, NCQA Star Ratings, Exchange Quality Rating System (QRS) Ratings, and support FEP Quality Improvement Program (QCR).
Develops and executes health disparity reduction efforts and attain NCQA Accreditation for Health Equity, HE+ if business required.
Serve as the liaison between Elevance and NCQA guiding Elevance Health plans on NCQA policies and procedures, and negotiating the survey process, as well as HEDIS/CAHPS procedures, and standards with NCQA
Staying abreast of industry trends in accreditation
*SME for REL/SOGI data and IT policies governing collection and documentation
Provides oversight and guidance for multiple quality programs including the EQOC, supports business lines compliance, provides value assessment to support business growth.
Creates and executes a remediation plan when accreditation risks exist
Provides consultation around new accreditation
Collaborates and manages the process of business planning and budgeting, manages operational dashboards and KPI.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Position Requirements
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of NCQA accreditation management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
Experience with significant large-scale project management, strategic planning and/or consulting in the health care industry
Strategic thinker with broad & deep understanding of the health care industry
Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial health plan accreditation and Health Equity practices
Strong negotiation acumen
Ability to travel approximately 25% for conferences
Clinical training, Social Worker, master’s degree in business and/or health administration
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary range for this specific position is $162,806.26 to $293,051.27.
