Staff VP Clinical Data Science

Location: Within 50 miles of PulsePoint office with Cerritos, CA highly preferred.

Summary

Responsible for leading the machine learning and advanced analytic clinical teams, which includes, but not limited to a wide array of analytics, utilizing large data sets, paid claims experience and clinical data.

Position Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for leading the machine learning and advanced analytic clinical teams, which includes, but not limited to a wide array of analytics, utilizing large data sets, paid claims experience and clinical data.

  • Serve as a strategic and operational foundation for identifying the neediest patient cohorts for service and clinical focus.

  • Support business development team in identify and quantifying opportunities for clinical programs. Conducts opportunity analysis, return on investment analysis and program evaluation analysis regarding clinical data sets.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requires a Master’s degree or PhD in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field and 12+ years’ experience in algorithmic engineering, data science, machine learning and 5+ years of experience in managing, and mentoring data science teams; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience with care delivery & palliative care data analytics

  • Skills as a scrum master and an agile coach desired RAF scores

  • Proven ability to create Innovation with data

  • Experience with data analytics (predictive)/ data science / clinical analytics End-to-End Systems Thinking

  • Proven experience demonstrating execution agility

  • MBA or graduate degree in data analytics / data science

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $210,480.00 to $378,864.00.
