Position Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with federal and state privacy regulations and requirements, including HIPAA and breach notification requirements.
- Establishes and maintains enterprise privacy policies and procedures.
- Evaluates new and novel uses of PHI and PII to enable innovation while managing risk.
- Executes privacy risk/issue monitoring and oversight.
- Leads investigations of actual or suspected privacy incidents, identifies appropriate corrective action, and ensures timely client and regulatory notifications.
- Plans, designs, develops and leads programming in making the company's Ethics, Compliance & Privacy program highly effective.
- Oversees programs for complex departments/functions with advance multiple layers and objectives.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports; sets strategic vision for department.
Position Requirements
Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years healthcare, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience, including minimum of 8 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Extensive experience with federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA and data breach notification laws. Demonstrated ability to establish cross-functional partnerships and drive meaningful results. Strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff strongly preferred. MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred. Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $257,800 to 309,360.
