Staff VP of Engagement Marketing

Summary

The Staff VP of Engagement Marketing will be responsible for directing an engagement marketing team to deliver, proven engagement marketing strategies to promote the company's products and services for all health benefits businesses (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Individual and Family) across the enterprise.

Team Scope

5 direct reports with 55 indirect reports

Position Responsibilities

  • Authors and leads a comprehensive marketing strategy for member engagement.

  • Leads a matrixed marketing team while collaborating with a matrixed organization.

  • Coordinates across marketing with other consumer journey phases to ensure continuity of experience.

  • Establishes and documents clear and specific priorities and measures Marketing’s performance.

  • Leads the development, implementation, and measurement of multi-media creative and content.

  • Responsible for all health benefits engagement marketing.

  • Recommends changes and adjustments to marketing strategies to increase program effectiveness.

  • Manages external contact with customers or agencies.

  • Leverages customer and market information to identify and assess business opportunities, which create customer value and profitably grow the business.

  • Formulates complex strategies and concepts that drive results, persuade and influence others, adapt to change, and manage conflict.

  • Identifies strategic priorities, collaborates with business partners to execute the strategic plan, and evaluates performance to measure results.

  • Develops and implements metrics to report and monitor progress against goals and implements changes to effect improvement, and/or reacts to a change in the organization or industry.

  • Prepares presentations regarding marketing programs for senior management groups.

  • Recommends to appropriate functions to achieve product modifications or improvements derived from market research, technical service work, or Marketing feedback.

  • Researches and evaluates trends related to membership growth and satisfaction patterns.

  • Develops and recommends department operating budgets; reviews and revises financial reports and prepares departmental statistics.

  • Develops, approves, and/or secures approval of objectives, policies, and programs for corporate marketing activities.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Position Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of eight years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

  • Experience leading strategic planning sessions and developing executable and measurable plans.

  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and build strategies around them.

  • Experience measuring and marketing ROI across all components of Marketing investments.

  • Consumer experience and Insight Design experience.

  • Experience with organizational alignment and budgeting. 

  • Ability to leverage CRM, AI, and other tools to deliver personalized triggered customer journeys.

  • Medicaid and Medicare knowledge.

  • MBA

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $152,480.00 to $274,464.00.
