Staff VP, Market Planning & Network - National

Location: Within 50 miles of a PulsePoint office with preference given to Atlanta, Chicago, or Indianapolis.

Summary

Responsible for leading national network strategy and programs in furtherance of market needs inclusive of how we partner and manage multi-state health systems (including large scale national hospitals and/or health systems), leverage national designations, programs and networks to deliver results for all lines of business, and partnering with RVPs locally to evaluate and deploy new network strategies.  

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:  

  • Development of national strategy for program adoption and translates strategic principles into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.  

  • Partners closely and oversees organizational alignment for multi-state systems for consistent VBA models and terms, EMR connectivity, national policies and procedures for claims management and compliance.

  • Manages admin budget within target.

  • Oversees and participates in the development of growth strategies and retention initiatives for the Enterprise.

  • Executes Cost of Care actions to deliver on budgeted target.

  • Drives provider collaboration and engagement where required for national programs.

  • Ensures compliance with CMS guidelines and HIPAA compliance.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Position Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience with progressive responsibility working with large and complex multi-state providers that span across multiple lines of business; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Master's degree strongly preferred. Ability to travel is expected.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

  • Proven experience with contracting for all 3 lines of business (Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare) highly preferred.

  • Value Based Contracting experience within a health plan.

  • Prior experience building out market plans and consulting to multiple markets.

  • Proven leadership experience to include direct report accountability (hiring, performance reviews, and terminations).
