Staff VP Product Strategy

Location:   May be located in any Elevance Health PulsePoint office preferably in Mendota Heights or Chicago.

This role requires associates to be in-office at least 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Summary

 Responsible for leading the enterprise product strategy across Elevance Health’s full portfolio. Connects business priorities, market dynamics, and consumer insights to define and deliver differentiated, digital-first, and AI-enabled health solutions. Develops and governs multi-year strategies and roadmaps that guide investments, enable innovation, and ensure alignment across business units. Owns and builds the enterprise growth plan, translating market opportunities into actionable strategies and measurable outcomes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Leads enterprise product strategy and drives end-to-end process excellence for new product innovation, market assessment, rationalization, and prioritization.

  • Conducts market assessments, competitive analysis, and TAM/SAM/SOM sizing to evaluate enterprise opportunities and inform investment priorities.

  • Owns and builds the enterprise growth plan, ensuring alignment of new and existing products with Elevance Health’s long-term strategic objectives.

  • Develops and maintains multi-year enterprise product roadmaps that integrate consumer, employer, and market insights with growth and innovation priorities.

  • Builds and presents business cases that articulate market opportunity, financial impact, investment needs, and risk/return scenarios to guide enterprise decision-making.

  • Leads build, buy, or partner assessments to determine the optimal approach for addressing enterprise product opportunities.

  • Monitors and integrates emerging market trends, innovations, and technologies (including AI and automation) into enterprise product strategies.

  • Partners with enterprise marketing to develop compelling go-to-market strategies and messaging that communicate product value propositions.

  • Facilitates ongoing enterprise innovation dialogue among business units, Growth Studio, and local markets to identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities; ensures vetted concepts are advanced into product development and implementation.

  • Provides executive-level visibility into portfolio health, growth performance, and innovation outcomes.

  • Hires, mentors, and develops a high-performing product strategy team with deep expertise in health, digital, and emerging markets.

Position Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Hires, mentors, and develops a high-performing product strategy team with deep expertise in health, digital, and emerging markets.

  • Must be a doer.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $178,000 to $293,000

Locations: Illinois, Minnesota
