Title: Staff VP Strategy & Planning IT
Location: May be located in any Elevance Health PulsePoint office preferably in Indianapolis, IN, Chicago, IL, and Atlanta, GA.
This role requires associates to be in-office at least 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered. Summary
Responsible for completing high level activities directly on the behalf of the Chief Digital & Information Officer related to key programs, and strategic initiatives. This includes providing overall strategy, planning and execution to support and promote the long-term growth plan of Elevance Technology. In addition, this role will be key in driving strategy and tracking for technology product development life cycles.
Position Responsibilities
- Acts as an executive liaison to resolve problems and ensure successful implementation of company initiatives.
- Leads comprehensive strategic and annual planning while working with executive leaders to integrate the business planning with financial planning and coordinate efforts with other parts of the company. This includes coordination of all team efforts, planning and facilitating a strategic planning offsite and creating/documenting annual business planning document.
- Technology Product development life cycle mapping for end-to-end Product journeys, facilitating cross-functional prioritization from ideation, validation, development & design, testing, delivery & post-analysis.
- Leads Elevance Technology annual strategic planning.
- Ensure execution of strategic priorities. Identify and align with CDIO Leadership team on top efforts requiring additional oversight and focus.
- Lead the continual refinement of Elevance Technologies long-term growth plan and strategic initiatives through planning, assessment of relevant capabilities.
- Communicate regular updates on strategic priorities and business implications across multiple stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and all associates though townhalls and other communications.
- Develops executive presentations and communications ensuring broad consistency and efficiency in approach across the organization.
- Effectively conceptualizing and creating executive presentations by utilizing comprehensive data analysis, research insights, and relevant notes.
- Designs and executes governance processes. Conducts in-depth strategic research and provides analytical support for strategic planning, strategic relationships/partnership opportunities and share across the leadership team as needed.
- Create crossline business partnerships to foster initiatives and collaborate with enterprise partners.
- Act as a strategic partner on behalf of the CDIO for coordination and collaboration with Carelon, M&A and Corporate Development teams on opportunities.
- Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.
Position Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of management experience with significant large-scale project management strategic planning and/or consulting in the health care industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Technology Product Process Management experience
- Technology background with significant experience within a large Technology organization in a leadership role, managing other associates.
- Experience in executive level presentation, advising and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- AI Technology product development experience
- Experience designing presentations and experience tailoring messages to specific audiences in their preferred channels.
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location, the salary* range for this specific position is $221,520 to $398,736.
