Wellness & Recovery Specialist - Peer Support Specialist Certified

Location: Las Vegas, NV

This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Nevada Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Hours:

10am -6:30pm - M-F

9a-5:30pm - Tu-Sa

9am-5:30p, Sun- Thur

The Peer Support Specialist /Wellness & Recovery Specialist is responsible for follow up on crisis call activities focused on the Wellness and Recovery for the Nevada 988 Crisis callers.

How you will make an impact:

  • Identify and facilitate opportunities to involve callers and their families in developing a supportive recovery network.
  • Serve as a resource for callers, their families, and community members by aiding in decision-making and problem-solving efforts.
  • Establish open and supportive communication with assigned individuals and service providers to assess and track members' responses to services.  
  • Offer follow-up assistance to callers for whom mobile crisis interventions were initiated but did not take place.
  • Support callers who have visited the emergency department but were discharged or left before appropriate placement arrangements could be made.
  • These tasks involve active engagement with callers to ensure continued care and support in critical situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires AA/AS and minimum of 2 years of experience in health services or behavioral health field or in a peer support services role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Peer Specialist Certification in Nevada is required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Prior experience in Crisis Work and call center environment is strongly preferred.
  • BA/BS or MBA preferred.
  • Experience within the community and knowledge of local resources is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Peer Specialist is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the hourly* range for this specific position is $20.89 to $32.91
